Today's agenda was going back to the Medical Office to get her TB test read. We headed there in the morning, only to be told that we were hours too early. Because the test was administered at 1:00 pm, they did not want to read it until after 1:00 pm. So our guide took us to the Pearl Market and we shopped until it was time to return. Lauren was cleared for TB and as well I was allowed to opt out getting her vaccinated here in China. I did have to sign something that said that I will do it within 30 days of returning to the states.

We are thrilled to hear of both your progress. But not surprised. It just shows that some things are meant to be. How lucky! I'm already thinking of what foods to have when you come home. Chinese, I guess, and definitely noodles! Maybe when Lauren sees Ava in her high chair she'll be ok in hers too. Hurry home please. Love, ABC
ReplyDeleteIt is inspiring to hear about the changes and the progress Lauren has made with you in such a short time! Your five days together really illustrate the range of experience a child, or anyone, can have in a world that is either lacking or full of love and care. It makes me think about the difference it would have over a lifetime. Thanks for all the news, we look forward to reading your updates!

It's amazing to see her grow & open up, from the first pictures to these latest ones. I'm sure Danny is going nuts waiting for you two to come home. We can't wait to meet the newest member of the family!

I agree, this is one of the best blogs, and those photos are precious! Your blog is the talk of the family as everyone wants to see and hear about your day the minute I walk in the door! (Of course I can't wait and check for the news before I get home! :) We are so happy for you all!
ReplyDeleteAs Social Workers, we are taught in school just how important attachment is and how much of a difference a loving, nurturing and parent makes. You are now living it and it makes me think about it even more. I think about how lucky Lauren is to have you and your family, how you have changed her life. I hope you keep this blog going, even when you come back... Vivian
