Say what?

We wanted to record Lauren's jibberish before it all goes away.  Slowly we are hearing less jibberish as she is picking up more words.  Here is a sampling of her talking to "dada" on the phone.  We have no idea what she is saying except the bye-bye part.

Her first chore?

With her love of water, watering the garden may be just have to be her first chore.  And she may just be ready soon!

Although we probably have to teach her that concrete doesn't grow, no matter how much you water it.

Ice Cream & Lollipop!

Lauren had her first ice cream cone at Dairy Queen and she loved it!  When we first got her she could not tolerate anything sweet, but obviously that didn't last very long.  After every bite, she said, "Mmmm".

Her first lollipop was had after dinner at Enrique's.  Unfortunately she liked it too!

7 Months Home!

Seven months home and here are the words that she can say .......DaDa, mama, more, eat, nana (banana), wet, no, go, help, woof-woof, rice, all-done, help, agua, nuts, bye-bye,and hi.  (although we may be the only ones that can understand her)

She has picked up a few animal sounds and while she does not say the animal name yet, she can tell you the sound that they make (dog, lion, snake, frog, owl, cow, sheep, donkey, duck, pig, and horse)

She is also quite proficient in her commands.  Did we mention she has a tendency to be bossy?  :-)
 Her command vocabulary includes:
"Up" - when she wants us to pick her up or when she wants us to stand up and follow her somewhere
"Go or go away" - this is usually directed at me when I am disturbing her time with DaDa
"Shes here" - translation, sit here.  She likes to tell us where to sit.
"om" - translation - home.  Usually says this when we are somewhere and she is done and wants to go home.
"o-en it" - translation - open it.
"I no want" - usually used when she does not want something (like bedtime).  This phrase is repeated over and over when its time to leave the park or go to bed.

Happy 7 months home baby girl!  We love you to the China moon and back!
